The type of accommodation we like

A core decision for walking is what type of accommodation you will go for. One of the advantages in France when following popular GR routes, is that good, small hotel or B&B accommodation is almost always on or near the route. 

For 2004, we did not entertain the camping option and tried a mix of hotel and B&B. Towards the end of this walk we enjoyed a fine meal with other walkers at L'Arbadoise where we had a small 'hut' in the grounds whilst the owners enjoyed their fine home. From memory we were about a dozen at dinner that night.
